I’m Hayley, a journalist and photographer based in Central Jersey. I currently am an undergraduate student at Rutgers University majoring in Journalism and Media Studies with a minor in History. I'm passionate about reporting on issues pertaining to politics and social justice through telling the stories of people in my community.
I currently am the Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Targum, Rutgers University's only independent student newspaper and the second oldest collegiate publication in the country. Previously, I served as the Targum's Head News Editor, where I led coverage on city planning and gentrification, University labor relations, financial transparency, campus development, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2020 presidential election. During my freshman year, I was enrolled at Northeastern University, where I wrote and took photos for a variety of publications, including The Huntington News, WRBB Radio, and Storybench.
